Job Overview
We are recruiting experienced Community Psychiatric Nurses (CPNs) to support community mental health services across London. This is a flexible agency role with opportunities across multiple services, allowing you to manage your own schedule while working with diverse patient groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver recovery-focused mental health care in community settings
- Manage a caseload of patients with complex needs
- Conduct mental health and risk assessments
- Develop and review personalised care plans
- Administer and monitor medication in line with NMC guidelines
- Carry out home visits and community interventions
- Work with multidisciplinary teams including social workers and psychiatrists
- Respond to crisis situations and support relapse prevention
- Maintain accurate clinical records
Requirements
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC registration
- Proven UK experience as a CPN (community experience essential)
- Ability to manage caseloads independently
- Right to work in the UK
- Up-to-date mandatory training
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable Skills
- Experience within Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT)
- Knowledge of Care Programme Approach (CPA)
- Strong understanding of risk and safeguarding
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Full UK driving licence (service dependent)
